The sacred inauguration of the Ram Temple, a momentous event, is set for January 22 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, drawing the eyes of followers and enthusiasts globally. For those in the United States, it’s important to note the specific viewing details tailored to various American time zones.

This significant event will be streamed live, accommodating viewers across the U.S. regardless of their time zone. East Coast residents, operating on Eastern Standard Time (EST), can watch it live according to their local time. Those in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone will need to tune in slightly earlier, while individuals on the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone should plan to join even earlier to catch the event live.

The 51-inch idol of Lord Ram at the Ram Mandir will undergo the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on January 22. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is expected to participate in the ceremony, including the unveiling of the deity. This eagerly awaited event will be broadcasted live not just in India, but worldwide, including on the YouTube channel Doordarshan National.

The day’s proceedings will begin at 6:30 am IST and include three separate rituals, as per the schedule released by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. Viewers from different international locations should adjust their watch times to match these events.

Additionally, the Ayodhya Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony will extend its reach to international audiences, with live viewings planned at New York’s Times Square. Over 40 billboards showcasing Lord Ram and the Ram Temple will be displayed across 10 U.S. states, ranging from Boston to Washington. In a recent display of devotion, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America organized an event where Teslas lit up and synchronized to the chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”

What are the costs of Ayodhya Ram Temple?

Regarding the construction costs of the Ram Temple, the overseeing Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust initially estimated the expense to be around ₹ 1,800 crore. This figure includes the costs of construction materials, labor, machinery, and other administrative expenses. A report from PTI in October last year mentioned that the trust had already spent about ₹ 900 crore on construction between February 5, 2020, and March 31, 2023.

As for visiting the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, general entry is free of charge. However, for attending any of the three types of Aartis performed at the temple, visitors will need passes, which are also issued free of cost. Each Aarti session can accommodate up to thirty attendees
